Gul Seckin received a B.A. in Counseling Psychology from Bosphorus University (Istanbul, Turkey). She received her Master’s in Gerontology from the University of Southern California and Ph.D. in Medical Sociology from the Case Western Reserve University in 2006. She is a principle investigstor on a grant to conduct a randomized controlled trial in order to test the efficacy of a patient centered and technology (PC-HICT) integrated medical care model. Included among her other research interests and activities are health care disparities, and post-traumatic growth among cancer patients and Iraq war veterans. She has authored a book chapter and several peer-reviewed articles. She is a member of Gerontological Society of America, American sociological Association, and American Public Health Association. |
