Kittner received his B.A. in Psychology from Brown University, a M.D. in Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, and his M.P.H. in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health.

A randomized clinical trial of medical management versus catheter closure for treatment of patent foramen ovale-associated stroke in young adults.
