Yi Huang, Ph.D.Yi Huang received her B.S. from Peking University (China) in 1997; her M.S. from University of California, Los Angeles, in 2000; and her Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, in 2007.

Dr. Huang joined UMBC in January of 2007, right after completing her Ph.D in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University, under the guidance of Dr. Karen Bandeen-Roche.  Her research specializes in statistical methods for the determination of average associational and causal effects of treatment/exposure/intervention on adverse health outcomes, with interests in biomedical and aging studies, public health and policy research. Her current methodological interests include, but are not limited to, propensity scores and causal modeling, latent variable models and multivariate analysis, generalized regression methods, and survival and longitudinal data analysis.  In addition to the work at UMBC, her main collaborations come from Bloomberg School of Public Health of Johns Hopkins University, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Erickson School of Aging Studies, and School of Medicine of University of Maryland.
