Elizabeth Galik, PhD, CRNP is a nurse practitioner that specializes in the medical and neuropsychiatric care of older adults. She received her BSN at the University of Pennsylvania, MSN at Villanova University, Post-Masters Adult NP Certificate at Johns Hopkins University, and PhD at the University of Maryland. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where she teaches in the Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner program and maintains a clinical practice at Sheppard Pratt’s Memory Disorders Clinic and Copper Ridge. Dr. Galik conducts research to test the impact of interventions designed to optimize physical function, physical activity, mood and behavior of long term care residents with moderate to severe cognitive impairment.
